Barbeau, Michigan (named after Peter Barbeau, a merchant in that area in the 1800's) has a very rich history of hunting & trapping.  This is also true of Antler Bay Trophy Whitetail Ranch, which was originally established as a whitetail hunting camp in 1885.

Even today there still stands, on its same site, one of the original trappers cabins used over 100 years ago!
